As a British expat, now living in Canada, friends and relatives assume quite rightly that I am a tea lover. Unfortunately not knowing enough about tea themselves or my likes and dislikes in teas, often I end up with mountains of flavored tea gifts that I will never drink. People should really know their gift recipient’s tea tastes well, before giving in to the impulse of buying actual real tea ,bags or loose leaf tea in any form ,as a gift. Tea flavors and tea quality are a very personal and individual aspect of the tea experience. Even if you know for a fact , your particular recipients favorite teas, when all considered, real tea as gifts for tea drinkers, is perhaps not as well inspired a thought, as you might think, as far as tea gift ideas go, as chances are, most tea lovers will have quite a stockpile of their favorite brew already.
I realize that living in North America, the land of habitual coffee drinkers, it is perhaps a little challenging to come up with none tea themed gift ideas ,other than actual tea itself which is of course available everywhere in presentation boxes ,gift baskets , attractively wrapped variety packs .But with a little perseverance They are out there, if you are prepared to search a little. Some none tea gift ideas, that I have seen are :-decorative teapots, mugs and cups, with or without saucers, items of tea themed kitchen décor, tea inspired posters or wall art, attractive and colorful tea caddies and canisters, tea themed kitchen clocks, to name just a few, none tea gift ideas.
Who said there was no such thing as sentimental gifts for Tea Drinkers?
Wanting to add to my own tea collectibles, and to be able to give as unique tea gift ideas to fellow tea lovers, I have started a range of sentimental gifts within my Pages from the Heart gift collection inspired by my own love of tea. A funny and humorous memory now, but at the time not so funny, not even for me, a thought that lives vividly to this day in my mind ,is that although not a big wal-mart fan, but reluctant ,about appearing to advertise Pages sentimental gifts to a group of strangers.
